This houses the purpose built research laboratories totalling some 450 sq m.
The laboratories house researchers and equipment with a low bay (headroom 3m)
and a high bay (headroom 8m) facility.
Mechatronics Teaching Laboratory
A laboratory of 160 sq m dedicated to teaching mechatronics including modelling,
microprocessor and microcontroller applications, interfacing and algorithmic
control. Located in the Wolfson School. Contains a suite of 20 identical networked
PCs with I/O hardware, MPLab, VB6 and C++ software. Other PCs also available.
Computing Support
General networked computing support with Engineering Science software (eg Autocad,
Solid Modelling, FE Analysis, Matlab, etc). A number of rooms are available
with PC workstations. Located in the Wolfson School of Mechanical & Manufacturing
Engineering.
In addition to the items shown above, there are excellent conference
suites adjacent to the Holywell Research Centre
with various sized board and meeting rooms,
