Professor Martin Tuuli awarded British Academy grant

Martin Tuuli

We’re delighted to share that Professor Martin Tuuli has been awarded a British Academy grant of £10,000 for collaborative activities towards a grant proposal on Circularity, Adaptability, and Reuse Enhancement in Building Design, Construction and Renovation (CARE-BUILDER) with European partners.

This award is part of the 2024 Horizon Europe Pump Priming Collaboration between UK and EU Partners scheme, and Professor Tuuli is one of the 26 successful awardees in this second round of the scheme.

As per the public announcement by British Academy:

A total of £601,799 has been awarded to 63 researchers across two funding rounds launched in December 2023 as part of the UK’s association to Horizon Europe. The grants – of up to £10,000 - enable researchers to develop collaborative activity between UK and EU/Associated Countries’ entities in Pillar 2 of Horizon Europe, with the goal of submitting an application building on their grant idea.

Martin is the only Loughborough University academic to be awarded one of the 63 grants.

He will be working with Professor Ambrose Dodoo (from Linnaeus University, Sweden) and Assistant Professor Chiara Piccardo (from KU Leuven, Belgium).

Congratulations Martin!
